‘Updating and Expanding the “CIA Triad”’
The Management, technical and security domains each have their own language and style. Most of the time, we as security practitioners are in the middle. So we must translate between them – to/from InfoSec and Geek; to/from InfoSec and Management. Otherwise, we will get caught in the crossfire.
Brett recently returned to an Assessor position at the Space program at Kennedy Space Center. Previously, he fulfilled roles of Chief Information Security Officer, Information System Security Officer and Security Control Assessor. Brett has worked for a number of federal agencies. He has also presented at ISC2 Security Congress and other venues. Brett is a founding member and former President of ISSA Central Florida. In his spare time, he frequently travels the world and once crossed 21 timezones in a matter of a couple weeks.
