Security leaders have done heroic work over the past two years deploying technology and instituting processes and procedures to safeguard their organizations from threats and vulnerabilities specific to remote work. Yet, while the integrity of corporate-owned devices and the availability of secure remote access is largely under control, a major gap in remote work security exists that CISOs cannot control – the personal digital lives of the C-Suite, Board Members, and senior executives.
Even before the pandemic, the personal lives of senior leaders were increasingly at risk. Their use of personal devices for work. The threats and vulnerabilities to insecure network connections at home and when on the road. The availability of highly-sensitive personal information on data broker websites that can be used by hackers for nefarious purposes. All of these insecurities, among others, put senior leaders and their families, and by extension, the company’s they lead, at heightened risk of fraud, identity theft and cyberattack.
